Look, you can absolutely not do your democratically elected job and claim that not doing your job is a way of doing your democratically elected job by representing your constituents that elected you to your democratically job. That's why fleeing the state instead of doing your democratically elected job is actually democratic and legal and fleeing the state as a way of evading law enforcement is by no means an admission of guilt in any way since it's completely legal.
