cloud storage.
lets say your data is on cloud and you abruptly stop paying them, what would happen?

https://www.wired.com/story/what-happens-to-your-data-if-you-stop-paying-for-cloud-storage/

Major cloud storage providers maintain

>unclear policies about deleting user data after subscription cancellations,

Wired reports, with deletion timelines ranging from six months to indefinite preservation.

Apple reserves the right to delete iCloud backups after 180 days when paying stops.

Google may delete content after users exceed free storage limits for extended periods, though files remain safe for years after cancellation.

>Microsoft may delete OneDrive files after six months of non-payment,

while Dropbox preserves files indefinitely without expiration dates.

Do note that most of them also offer a free version of their storage. Limited free storage plans are: Apple and Microsoft offering 5GB of free space, Google providing 15GB, and Dropbox allowing 2GB for. Subscription means you pay for their premium data storage which is bigger and allows faster transfer speeds (depending on your internet connection of couse).

on a mobile internet connection which transfers 3MB / second, it would take half an hour to download or upload full 5 gigabytes which is the free limit for both Apple and Microsoft
