As insane as this sounds, there still seems to be a realistic caveat of the ship sailing.
If a man loses his wife outside of sexual immorality or death, he'd rather neuter himself than risk closeness to God.
However 99% of us would have long failed to resist our needs to do something like that, at which point neutering yourself is just self-harm and gains you nothing.
