I don't care about the electricity, I just think it's a tacky lightshow. Chinese aesthetics are not great anyway, historically bright red and bright gold on everything, it's somehow worse than Trump's white/gold obsession. Their runes are similarly objectionable, Japanese and Korean characters are Chinese derivatives and yet they're profoundly more attractive.
