Norway killed 33 very rare arctic foxes (a white - blue fox) because the government was afraid of bird flu. Half of the foxes got infected with bird flu on the wild.

From the fox corpses they have deducted it was bird flu type H5N5. Same virus killed some red foxes in Britain on last year. It is spreaded by birds, seagulls being the most formidable spreaders because they rarely die themselves.
Finland has calculated there exist 8 arctic foxes in Finland, none of them seem sick. Norwegian fox population lives 330km away from the Finnish population.
In USA ONE MAN got infected with H5N5 virus in late 2024, he died. He was not able to pass on the infection to other people.
