English has three genders, male, female, and neuter. Even with animals it uses terms like "gelding" and "steer" to distinguish castrated males from intact ones.

I agree with this in principle but I would like to add my view, which is that these transpeople are often possessed so there are in fact multiple souls trading time behind the wheel as it were.

They get around this by saying gender is all in the mind, while still maintaining that biological sex is a binary. So basically it's just sanctioned delusion. But many science texts don't actually commit the heresy of saying that sex is not a biological phenomenon. While gender is purely in one's imagination or a product of socialization.

Gender is a social class designation based on sex.
People with X/Y mutations get special treatment because they are literally disabled. Extra, damaged, or missing chromosomes results in physical deformities and more often than not completely shuts down the production of functional gametes. Plus, being born with fucked up genitals just kinda sucks.
These people deserve pity and humane treatment, but pretending they are a third gender is insane. And the people advocating it are just perverts faking medical disorders.
