democracy is not anarchy
and im arguing in favor of a strong central power
but theres nuance to it:
if you have strong central power, you need to democratize decisionmaking to prevent abuse
i find it surprizing that humans in general seldom get to that obvious conclusion
how many more times we need to have a situation where people vote for certain groups who then leverage deficient laws and procedures to renege on their electoral promises, and in effect we get 4 years of dictatorship directed against the nation?
how many people need to be put in jail by crooked judges who allow themselves to be corrupt because there is no checks and balances outside of the people who put them in their position to begin with?
how many more evident failures of our system do we need to finally reform this rickety henhouse of parliamentary systems we call governments?
people forgot what republic means
RES PUBLICA - the public entity
and representatives who act out of the mandate from the people
so why the fuck do we allow our laws and governments to be turned against us when theyre supposed to be the mechanism that allows to enforce the consensus of the nation?
