Arabs are ruthless with their language. If someone says even a single letter incorrectly, the Arabic speaker will pounce and say, "Actually THIS is how you say it. Get it correct, bro." "I can tell your Arabic is kindergarten level; pronounce the letters correctly, bro."

There's a great deal of humiliating and shaming from Arabs towards even other Arabs who do not say something correctly or pronounce words incorrectly.

This level of micro-management and ruthless precision is not applied in the English-speaking world. Nobody really cares if you butcher English, and English people and American people do not take ownership and dictate the language over others like Saudis or Egyptians do for Arabic.

Not true.

Some time ago, I leant a little Arabic, mainly working with Kurds but I also learnt MSA academically.
There are various pronunciations thought the Arabic speaking world. Some pronounce a hard 'G' and others say it softer like a 'J'.

I was also a bit taken aback when an Algerian used female forms with me, I'm not in the slightest bit nancy boy, I was unsure how to take it and just ignored it?

same reason we allow the "foreign workers" to become the nation itself, while the arab nations send them back when they are done being low paid slave labor.

Think of it like this.

A Jamaican is considered an English speaker, a native English speaker, but yet most of what he says in everyday speech is incomprehensible to a Brit or an American or an Australian. The English of a Jamaican is not just a difference in dialect or accent; it's effectively a completely different language from that spoken by Brits and Americans.

Yet no English speaker will moderate the way a Jamaican speaks and correct the words coming out of his mouth. It's just considered that his English is acceptable and understandable, so that's good enough.

Same thing with African-Americans. They may be fluent in English, but their use of the language is often indecipherable. However, their general fluency is considered satisfying and good enough.

For Arabs, this is most definitely NOT good enough. A Paki who just learnt Arabic, for example, and has a conversation with a native speaker will be mercilessly humiliated and corrected the moment he starts speaking. He will be told, "Akhi, respect our language, the greatest language in the world. Do you know Allah made Arabic the language of paradise?"

Nothing like this exists among English speakers. As long as you are even semi-fluent you get a pass.

First after 1945 English speaking countries got infected with communism which promoted the idea that there was no good or better way of speaking because every way of speaking is equally valid.
Following that there was mass immigration which meant that correcting someone's English also came with the accusation of racism.
This 80 year propaganda campaign was only targeted at whites in the West by jews and non-jewish globalists and communists. All other races escaped it.
Before 1945 the idea that there was a correct and proper way to speak English was the norm and parents teachers and neighbours would regularly correct children.
This finally was killed off by probably the 1970s

Every Arab country has its own vernacular, but still pretends to speak Classical Arabic because they identify as "Arabs".

Which btw is completely impractical IRL. I've had many Algerians and Lebanese tell me they're more comfortable with French/English than Classical Arabic.
Even in Arab countries, Arabic is only used as a ceremonial language. Anything of importance (qualified work, administration, healthcare, law, etc.) gets done in English/French.

With 300 million speakers, you'd think Arabic would be a major world language, on par with French, Spanish, Russian... Yet it's completely irrelevant, even in their own countries.

We have some of the brightest, hardworking and ingenious people on both sides of the community on this wee island. We've also had many chimpouts over the years holding us back.

Unionists in general are more anti immigration it seems up here in the north. The "default" sin fein/nationalist position is one of open borders, mostly just to "spite" the so called anti immigration fascists. Of course any nationalist here opposing immigration is likely to silence that view in fear of being rejected by the community sadly.

Not sure what it's like down south, seems to be very mixed there.

From my experience the majority of unionists are quite moderate with many being open to a united ireland if they felt they were fully respected. Immigration might very well be the issue that unites both sides. Both sides need to be a bit less cringe. The hardcore loyalists need to stop burning tricolours and chimping out and the nationalists need to stop acting like its 1600 and king billy just landed on the shores. A lot of the old generation are going to be dead in the next 10-15 years on both sides, a lot will change.

It's hard to exaggerate how well off and comfortable the majority of the Irish voting public are. It is basically a class conflict here now rather than a race one, in the sense that you can identify if someone is pro or anti immigration by their address.
I honestly don't see anything changing for the better re: unification, until economic disparities between the two countries equalise, and in the current state of affairs it will be less about unifying Ireland and more about bringing NI back into the EU

Arabs make fun of other Arabs' dialects, some dialects pronounce some letters different for example ك is pronounced Kaaf, while Balochis and those from Persian Tribes that lived between Arabs and Iraqis and Kuwaitis and those from the Bani Yas Tribes in the UAE literally pronounce that letter in a Cha sound, so Omanis and Saudis would literally go and make fun of them for that, Kuwaitis are nice people but they're the most that get made fun of in the Gulf
