>hey, let's check out this new kid Bob Dylan, he's the voice of the youth
>"ohhh yeaaah, i'm working on the train tracks, i'm working on the farm, i'm an old maaaan"

Why were people so impressed with Bob Dylan? How can you be the voice of your generation when you're singing about working the farm and the train tracks and shit you never did?

Sometimes the zeitgeist uses an unusual vessel. Bob Dylan is the Hitler of the Hippies in that he could express their collective unconscious perfectly. He even said he couldn't write songs like he used to, there was something magic in those days

They had bigger souls back then, bugman.
------
"He is what a sterile corporate wasteland spews out. Millions of him, almost exact replicas who are relentlessly told they are unique by clever marketers, and who believe it. He is a personality defined by brands, a blue-checkmarked Twitter user. Bugmen are what we get when a culture is infantilized, watered down and stripped of the very intellectual, philosophical and honourable fibre that once made it great. Totally dependent on the compromised support of his nanny state and high-tech devices, the bugman has been reduced to the status of a domestic animal. A 200-pound child.

And like a child, the bugman’s shallowness keeps him malleable to the fleeting whims and fads of a degenerate, smartphone-addicted, dopamine-hooked society. He bases his identity on passing trends that to him appear profound, priding himself on being a ‘step ahead’ of his peers—an ‘early adopter’—not realizing it’s the marketer who’s always a step ahead of him. He is the millennial test subject, the lab rat brand loyalty experts are paid $20,000 an hour to pigeonhole. First in line for the latest Apple iPhone, he actively supports the unchecked rise of AI and notions of planetary relocation.

...

The deliberate draining of purpose and passion from the bugman’s soul made it easy to assign him without complaint to a vapid, good-boy ‘job’ and a ‘career’ that does little but prop up the demented corporatist structure. He is a willing cog in the grinding bullshit machine—a marketer, an analyst, a ‘project manager’—or has perhaps handed his life over to preserving the insanity of the state by becoming a lawyer or a bureaucrat. Worse yet, he gobbled up the STEM dream sold by grubby toy merchants, dooming himself to an existence of zeroes and ones. Zero purpose."

Attended Zionist summer camps as a kid, where he stole his first songwriting credit.

Then he worked for the Mossad/MI6/Tavistock as a communist provocateur. His Jewish looking boss at Colombia Records was a communist, as was the chairman of CBS at the time, a WASP guy.

Zimmerman was dating Suze Rotolo, an Italian girl whose parents were top organizers in Communist Party USA (CPUSA)

Zimmerman's idol was Woody Guthrie, who was recruited and promoted in California by CPUSA Jews who owned radio stations, and realized that they could use folk singers to spread the communist message to the working class of America.

Zimmerman's agent was Albert Grossman, a high level MI6/Mossad type operative. He also managed Janis Joplin, and took out a $250,000 life insurance policy on her life when he realized she was using heroin.

Bob Dylan wrote anti-war protest songs right up until JFK died, which Dylan celebrated and danced on his grave because JFK didn't give Israel the A Bomb.

And as soon as JFK was killed, Dylan stopped writing and singing and stealing anti-war songs.

Dylan's song about Emmit Till promote the lie that Till was innocent, and Dylan's song "Hurricane" promoted the lie that Reuben Carter was innocent. All Jewish racial tricks against whitey.

I would agree in a sense that his music expresses a type of non conformity that was only available to baby boomers. The idea of "sticking it to the man" and not wanting to have your office job (that made you enough money to have a family and children with only ONE salary), but now it seems almost comical how they complained despite living in the most prosperous time in human history, at least when it comes to the economy.

He supported Farm Aid and complained that so much tax money was going to foreign aid.
Sorta, surprised me to hear that.
I'm not a fan of his music, personally. Folk is ...a different thing.
Actually, goes back to medieval bards and stuff but is very working class so it divides the GOP that have even ever heard of it, between the authoritarian 1% , or people/ children imagining themselves as that or that they'll end up there if they just attack enough fellow poor people and get used by the wealth high society enough, etc, and well no one. Possibly just the independent voters who swing to Trump due to some "one issue" voter issue, getting B women to stfu about Emmitt Till or endless gd racial posturing and focus.

Like Struggle Sessions in China.

Etc is funny even really cares anymore like this fucking board really matters? TF out
Didn't even think Trump would win in 24, and I doubt anyone flocked here and stayed here after the win, as dog shit anti- intellectual as it's become lately.

I actually unironically like the Doors still but it's blatantly obvious that the Woodstock hippie RnR "revolution" was blatantly funded and controlled by kikes to neuter the left wing and replace it with the "fuck yt" New Left, which was fine until they all became anti-Israeli after the Yom Kippur war and the ex-Trotsky neocohen movement was invented to subvert the right in exactly the same way

Boh Dylan was only good till around 1967 tops. Any time after that he has clearly lost the spark and wasn't even trying anymore. Even he himself in a 60 minutes interview from the 2000s said that hid early music just sort of appeared in his mind, already written, and that he couldn't do that any more. He straight up said "I can't perform that magic anymore because the angels stopped speaking to me".

He said this in reference to basically everything he wrote after 1965 and he said this in the 2000s so he'd basically spent his entire career openly struggling with the lack of skills/blessings he once had.

If you like anything after 1965 Dylan then you're a stupid tube and even Bob Dylan thinks so. He straight up says, repeatedly, I had some kind of magic helping write my early songs but I lost it long ago.

That's why he became a folk hero and then his entire career from 1970 to today is just posers trying to look like they're counter culture because they listen to one of the most famous singers ever. I've met several people like this, they claim to love Dylan but have literally never listened to the music he considers his best and so good that angels delivered it to him.

God I hate posers and Bob Dylan fans are the biggest losers ever. And even he knows it!!

I think up until 67' he was great, after that he has some good songs here and there but nowhere close the level he was in the early 60's.
He also came up during a time where studios wanted to milk you for all you're worth, so it's understandable how you would put out subpar work when people are breathing down your neck telling you you have to make one album every year.
We've seen it before with other artists, the difference is not all of them have the media telling everyone you're a fucking GENIUS.

He also smoked too much and fucked his voice, which kinda sucks cause even 60 year old Bob couldn't sing his old songs without them being 2 octaves below.

You are now no longer ever allowed to complain about pop/rap/zoomer music, since you haven’t gotten rich making your own music. Same with movies and other aspects of culture too. If you’re not a multimillionaire cultural icon then you don’t get to complain about culture

I saw him with a couple other acts, had to sit through him to get to Willie Nelson. I know Bob's old but it was entirely unintelligible, he killed the mood cold. The awkward giggling of women was all that kept spirits up during the long sleepy set, it didn't seem like even Bob cared. Willie brought back the energy from the dead practically.
Even listening to his actual albums, I wasn't really drawn to it and it didn't do well at communicating whatever poetry might have been there. If the praise for artistry was legitimate then maybe it was a single-generation sort of connection.
People might have the same conversation about Kendrick Lamar in a hundred years, assuming he too stops giving any fucks for a few decades and there are any whites left to care about lyricism.
