Then after decades of its use we'll know if it's safe or not. The underlying premise behind mrna therapy is, on paper, sound. Our cells use molecules send and receive messages to do things. Send message molecules to your ribosomes to produce a needed molecule directly when and where necessary. The problem is, much like with software, you need to triple check your code to make sure there's no bugs in it, nor that it's working as intended, just with unforeseen consequences. We're many, many years and tests off from knowing if any mrna therapy is sound. "Just tell your cells to produce heart clogging spikes, you'll be fine bro" won't cut it.
