This is where the enshittification started. And I'm not being cute when I say that. Any google-based application on Android used to be impeccable. Snapdragon processors were great. When did my devices suddenly become substantially worse? When most tech firms started fucking hiring Jeets en mass. I've met female black programmers who were better than those nepotistic scheming curryniggers.

to be honest, I kinda embraced enshitification, censorship etc. because it's pushing me toward offline living and I like it

I ditched most social networks, don't really spend so much time online as I used to, I can see myself returning to early 2000s level of technology use pretty soon if the keep pushing for this shit

I'll probably end up downloading most media I care for to a physical device and ignore most of the contemporary technology anyway

It's literally laziness and incompetence from code monkeys. Literal sci-fi leaps in computing power made redundant because people don't optimise when faced with an abundance of computing power. Go download Macromedia Flash 8 and see how smooth it is compared to Adobe Animate.

Don't forget the elephant in the room, Windows. XP was great but optimized for 32 bit, then 7 was properly made for 64. And it's been a freefall ever since. 8 was atrocious, 10 was almost as bad, 11 is the worst. Infinite bloat, infinite spying, infinite unoptimized crap that makes the fucking OS itself a resource hog when you aren't even doing anything on it. Dogshit fucking garbage UI, fucked context menu in 11, half-assed reverse compatiblity with older software even though theoretically there is 0 fucking reason for them to not run and Microshit is constantly gaslighting everyone about how everything just works, supposedly. Updates that can't be turned the fuck off and hijack the computer for minutes at best, hours at worst, and you better pray they aren't used to slow your PC down on purpose to push planned obselence or to install more spy and adware because it's all a blackbox.
