Subject, basically. Is life simply a tension between facing reality and descending into fantasy? Women are very good at using indirective, suggestive, hypnotic language. Physical contact has an effect. They're good at speaking to the subconscious covertly.

It seems then that men are designed to be hypnotized, that this is how bonding works. Women trace out and displace or otherwise "convince" and subdue his anima, then take on some of its functions in an external sense. No matter what the relationship dynamic is, could it be said to be based on hypnosis? And on some level a man wants to believe in her and the "Shared fantasy", no different than children pretending and playing a game. Because women are a symbol of Earth itself, consummation with a woman is consummation with existence and The World itself. If he does this, then to return to the oceanic state of the womb, he may find it easier to outsource the functions of his Anima to her.

You're right and wrong. I don't think you understand trance induction. eg most people can be forced into full somnambulism if they're asleep. A person will whisper commands in their ear repeatedly and either they wake up or go into deep trance. This bypasses the will in its broader sense, particularly if a person isn't aware it's possible. I woke up with my mother repeating the same phrase to me over and over. Because I knew about it, who knows if it had happened prior. As a species, it makes sense for one expression to be dominant over the other expression(s). I'd agree that women hold intrinsic power over men, partly due to how men are more visually activated/engaged, and also primed to melt at a woman's touch. Obviously, some of this is genetic, and socializing leans into the genetic elements to produce the differential culture between men and women. Hypnotized though? That might be a stretch.
