Diderot was proven wrong within a decade of his death, the French Republicans were far worse than any monarchist and the republic collapsed within a decade.

When it finally was refounded the republic has proven to be the source of all calamity not only in France, but all of Europe as the "republics" are slowly genociding their own populations all in the name of freedom.

European (((republics))) is the fake and gay version of Republican Rome. Go read their shit and then compare to American Republicanism. It is STARKLY different. The only reason why France couldn’t go full Republic (they failed 5 times within a century btw, lol) is because of the monarchs of the other nations butting in and subverting their shit.

Also, Europeans believe in the “process” of Republicanism rather than the “spirit”. They think if they just go along with democracy that they are equal to a republic and that’s all that is. How sad and ultra retarded of them <3

America was never supposed to have these “sides”. They inherited that system from England unfortunately and, as hard as they tried, it stayed and got subverted by, guess who, America’s oldest enemy. Whoopsies.

Hopefully all parties break apart and we are only left with individuals. This would be the best case scenario.

True in both Republican Rome and the Greek democracies the plebs got to at least directly vote on issues in the assemblies.

There are few to no direct votes on issues via referendum in modern "republics" (and when there are referendums they just force people to keep voting . Nothing we have descends from Rome or Greece, instead it descends from the parliamentary/cortes systems of the middle ages where wealthy "representatives" advised the kings and could vote on legislation. Our entire "republic/democratic" system is still entirely medieval in mindsight, but without the honor system, or expectation of nobless obliges.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cortes_of_Le%C3%B3n_of_1188

With parliamentarism we get the worst of both worlds through modern pseudo-demcoracy.

I have to entirely disagree with you anon. I like Rome or Greece or Europe, America has a Constitution that protects the people from the necessary evil of government. America has been the ONLY Republic that ever Had a constitution. We can argue whether it is still enforced or not (America has been captured for over 100 years by Britain sooooo) all of those “flaws” you see in the American system right now? That “medieval” veneer of Republicanism? That’s actually Europe that fucked up America in the last 50 years. Particularly after the 1960s.

Freedom is not good in itself. Freedom is good so far it makes good things possible.
Authority is not good in itself. It is good so far as it conduces to what is good.
Freedom and authority work together for good. Freedom allows the good to be pursued as a possibility, while authority empowers us to actually achieve it.
Freedom and authority are not in conflict. They are both means to an end: the good.

>America has been the ONLY Republic that ever Had a constitution.

Rome is the only true republic that ever existed and it had the 12 tables. America is no republic as there are no regular citizen assemblies who vote on referendums. We're merely a parliamentary/congressional/cortes system that calls itself a republic.

> all of those “flaws” you see in the American system right now?

The American congressional system, rightfully called was put on life support during the Civil War with Lincoln grabbing of as much authority for the executive branch that he could, and then killed off for good after FDR usurped all state authority to the centralized government in the 1930s.

I don't think Europe had much effect unless you count the UK taking advantage of the US's inherent post-Civil War corruption to entice the US into siding with England in WW1 and WW2.

Society still needs to be organized and nature abhors a vacuum. A constitutional republic or constitutional monarchy provides a way to enshrine certain unalienable rights given by God to mankind while at the same time providing order to society. This society becomes tyrannical and zero sum games emerge when that society becomes pluralistic in belief. You just don’t belong in certain societies, cultures, and belief systems. There should be the opportunity to live in certain countries and cities that match your belief systems with the option to move if you change your mind.

Whenever I hear someone prioritize a promethean version of freedom that eschews God I ask them “freedom from what?”. Freedom to be an evil person and have no one keep you accountable? God is the ultimate Good. To seek freedom from God is to seek freedom to be evil. To be one with Goodness is to be one with God. No one should ever seek to be free from Good.
