There are shitloads of species of parasitic wasp. Instead of having nests, each one specializes in attacking one other insect, arachnid, and even in some cases plants. They find the shit they need by scent, sting it, then lay one or more eggs on it. The eggs hatch out and the larva burrow into the other bug, then begin eating the less-crucial organs, fat, and bug blood in the host until they're ready to eat their way back out and pupate. With the plant varieties, the wasp larva secrete a bunch of fucked up chemicals that cause the plant to grow a spherical lump of tissue called a gall that's completely out of line with with its normal biology. It's sort of like an oyster making a pearl, aside from that.

If you want to get really technical, pickles are any pickled foodstuff and range everywhere from beets to pigs' feet. In the US when someone says pickles they do almost always specifically mean cucumbers, but in other countries the term can be more general like including any pickled vegetable but not meat-things.

The animal kingdom is worse to me. I don't know about bugs. Its weird that every animal has a degree of intelligence and autonomy thought and has to live in a world where things want to kill and eat them or their friends. You can even look at sheep and see a TAD of thinking at times. Its also interesting if you train a farm animal hard they start attaining human like emotions. If you have ever seen a happy cow its surreal its like you allowed them to use their happy emotions before they didn't allow themselves to have emotions. It makes humans seem so wimpy and pampered. You might have a friend or family murdered by a "predator human" and you will want revenge or justice. In the animal world its better to just accept it as a part of life. Anyway nature is really crazy.

God or no, the entire history of life on Earth is a system (cruel and inhuman) of creating progressively more complex organisms until everything has culminated in humans - organisms with a consciousness; organisms who can tell the good from the evil. Who can choose to be good or bad.

Now it is up to us what we're going to do with this result of billions years of trials and suffering.
- We can just destroy each other and the whole planet in another world war. Essentially, a planet's suicide because the chief species turned out to be retarded.
- We can suck the planet dry from all its resources, adding even more suffering and death for other species and each other. Than we could die or leave the husk of the Earth behind, to travel to other planets and turning them into dump-covered husks as well. Doing pretty much the same what's on the gif, but for entire planets. This scenario is "Earth gave birth to a species of space locusts."
- We can try to propel the evolution forward. May be by creating another species, playing god ourselves. These new species would live primary in the platonic world of ideas, the universe of information, and if some of them would have material bodies, they will be made out of plastic and metal. I'm talking about strong AI, if someone didn't get it yet. May be we even could 'ascend' ourselves, leaving this material world and becoming beings of energy and information.
- Finally, we can do what god didn't. We can at least try to turn this planet (and then may be others) into true paradise, a place free from suffering, where nor we humans nor other species would have to kill or exploit each other in order to survive. Instead of using resources we would have to find a way to replenish them, so that no one and nothing would know any need. We would have to rewrite the genetic codes of animals, so that there will be no more parasitic wasps or any other parasites, where a lion would lay down with the lamb.

Those are wasp larvae that use the green worm as host. The worms came in on my tomatoes and tobacco and I saw these eggs growing in them and left them alone to grow after discovering this cycle keeps the nightshade pests in check. No worms this year. Pretty awesome
