Does deep tissue massage work for pain? Or is it more Jewish tricks

Massages do help alleviate back pain but (in my experience at least) only for like the following afternoon / evening tops. Still probably helpful overall though.

Sometimes I like to get one on my penis from Asian women. It's not painful at all until I have to pay them.

They are painful in the short run but get the knots out that cause long term pain. I would not recommend this if you are not either fat or muscular. I was neither. I got a medium tissue massage. I was sore for a few days. But it felt good immediately and after the soreness wore off.

Works for me, I love my masseuse. Don't go to a fly by night place, shop around, find an outfit that actually specializes in their technique.

You feel GREAT for like 45 minutes, which I stack by doing this:

I use Groupon for a free $80 massage, take my 3 meds for the day once I'm in my car, and by the time I'm home, the next 8 hours are as good as it gets for anyone living with chronic pain.

I found two guys in my life who understood how that stuff works. One was a chiropractor who used something called the Thompson method. He could help quite a bit. The other guy retired and couldn't tell me anyone else who did anything like him. He would do crazy shit like press his fingers hard into your abdomen and massage the muscles back towards the spine. Very painful, but the results were incredible. He could gi around the body pushing on tiny spots that would make you wince, but as soon as he massaged them out there was great tension release. Find the right person and it can be amazing

dont do it more than once a week, focus more on building the muscles in the areas and around them. I went to chiropractor 4 times a week (their recommendation) didn't help for a year but the second I started working out with focus on the small muscles it got better

Jewish tricks. The more muscle you have the more crippling pain you feel afterward. I couldn't move for a week after getting a massage and I'm not even that buff.

Had a knot in my chest, just in front of the armpit, would not go away after a year or so and did a self deep tissue massage. Hurt like I pulled something but after a few days it went away and never came back.

Best general rule of thumb a friend gave me was if they talk about chi or aligning chakras, get the hell out. Unless they're gonna suck your dick.

It does literally nothing. The idea that some guy can just rub your body and this does something for you is completely insane.
It's a scam and/or someone is getting off on this. Masseurs get to grope people and some people like being groped.
Any health benefits are placebo.

would you rather pay $100 for a really good massage from some massage therapist or $200 for a really good massage and a happy ending from an Asian whore with huge tits (who is also a professoinal masseuse known for her massages)? seems like $100 is a lot to add for a handjob, but it would cost more to just go get a handjob after the $100 massage I think

Ignore all retard that previously commented ITT.

If the pressure applied in a massage ever reaches the point of "hurting" it has gone too far. Despite what people say, pain is not only in your head.
Pain causes muscles to contract, with the point being to harden and prevent this foreign object from going too deep into your body.

A massage therapist that actually knows what they are doing can get very deep. Deeper than a hack pressing too hard can. But it takes time and knowledge.

We all intuitively know that massage helps alleviate muscular tension through the physical stretching of muscles and this is what the "deep tissue" bros do, but really hard.

But the real secret to massage is the massive amount of piezoelectricity that it causes in your nerves that then feed to the synapses in your brain.
This massive number of electric impulses causes the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems to essentially overload, and revert back to a default and relaxed state.
This not only helps your meat muscles relax, but also the smooth muscles within your blood vessels, increasing circulation (plus the mechanical pumping of blood with proper technique).
Once you achieve this state, the muscles will no longer react to pain sensations due to overload of stimulation (same principle as why you instinctively rub an injury that is sore, there is a threshold for how many inputs your brian can receive for an area) then you can get truly deep without causing muscles to tense and only fuck things up worse.

The problem is the number of massage therapists that are actually at that level of knowledge are few and far between.

good info, tenderness, like a bruise being poke, is the type of pain associated with a good massage for a troubled area.

Pain being caused by a message in an area that feels normal is wrong.

Explain knots.
It's not like your muscle literally ties itself over.

I'm not stupid, I know they feel good and I would like them but they can't possibly "do" anything.

There is no such thing as a knot. It is what those who dont know, say.

When people claim they have "knots" it is either just tense or cramped muscles, cysts, swollen lymph nodes, etc.

As I mentioned in my previous post massages are actually very good for your health. Much better than people realize. Reduction of cortisol (stress) due to sympathetic nervous system relaxation, increased blood flow/circulation from parasympathetic nervous system relaxation, etc.
These are measurable and relatively long lasting benefits from massage.

It's an enjoyable experience and can def help relieve tension. It should hurt at least a little bit or else they're not going deep enough. Once had a low back issue that was killing me. Therapist dug her elbow and knuckles into trigger points for half the 60min massage until the muscle eventually relaxed and cracked loud as fuck. Was great, def recommend

Deep tissue massage works, but you need one of these. It'll hurt, but it'll do what the massage is claimed to. Bare hands and all that stuff are placebos, or they only work on women before you fuck them.

if you combine them with back trening , you need to strengthen the muscles , massage will help you do it everyday . you need to do it at least 3-6 months . plus you need to eat healthy, i kbow you think itnis not important but it is

Myofascial release is no meme
Releases endorphins, the muscle will be sore for a bit because you tenderised it
Stretching daily is very important

Of fucking course the aussie gets memed on by shitty Chinese gua sha.

TCM is a joke and gua sha does nothing other than cause you to bruise. Only one step removed from wet cupping in it's retardation.

By the way that particular instrument is one they came out with around 15 years ago now designed for women that struggled to handle the more "sharp" edge of buffalo horn/jade tools during spa massages.
Congrats anon, they thought you were a bitch.

Do you lift? If not, no, you need to do yoga and calisthenics instead. If you lift heavy and have uneven development and knots, it helps a lot.
