for me its the same thing, i will tell you i love the freedom here and i love going outside without having to risk getting abused, humiliated and molested by police for stepping off the sidewalk

in western countries i dont feel like an adult, i feel like in a daycare or kindergarten.

the dilemma is that u are living a privileged life here, comparable to a millionair in europe.
yet at some point every expat is going to face that dilemma in one way or another.
many will have an accident or an illness and return home to get appropriate treatment financed by the government they hate so much.
others fall victim to robberies, scams, rape, assaults and realize that there is no police to protect you or to punish those who have done it.

myself i knew 6 young expats personally who died in the past 5 years, road accidents and swimming accidents. its anything but safe here and hospitals are far in case u need one
my house was robbed and vandalized and the police asked me for protection money and i had no choice but to leave everything behind and move to another city

I am moving to Maine US in february next year.
