That's not a misinterpretation, that's taking the words for their dictionary meanings straight from the text - it requires no interpretation at all, only a basic understanding of the words "burnished" and "refined" as they apply to bronze.

You don't even need to know metallurgy to verify this. Just google it like I did.

Why would anyone care what Jesus looked like on Earth? Unless He's here in our presence, His form is nonsensical and has no value to ponder. Jesus can appear in any form he wishes. He can even appear differently to each person. It's an unanswerable question with no value.

The whole point of Jesus' body being killed and eaten by the romans, was to show how unimportant your body is compared to your soul. romans continue to this day drinking Jesus' blood, and eating his flesh in their satanic rituals, but they can't eat his soul.

You are a soul. you possess a body, whatever body is not important, the body is temporary. If your soul possesses a red body, or a blue body, or a yellow, it doesn't matter, that's just your avatar in the simulation. Focus on finishing the game, and moving on to the next level. First thing to consider: ancient people in general spent a lot of time outdoors.
Outdoors is the sun (for our fellow neckbeard hikikomori friends). The sun makes you brown. Very brown, quite possibly. Look at some bad examples of farmers tan. You go from pale dude to churka or med.
The only real excuse for being pale was being some sort of royality stuck in your palace basement and under a palaquin carried by 20 (other fat) virgin (neckbeard)s.
Meaning you had to find some kind of tanline spot to see what color people really were, and they were pretty tan on average.
And all told historical levantine populations were quite average but diverse, spanning the entire spectrum much like the modern population, but in a different (and unknown) ratio.
tl;dr coloration wise that Gib brother may be close enough, but Jesus may have had a deeper tan.
