This is a good point. Although from my experience as a Serb, these people usually care about their material needs and thus see the state as a provider, they just want to have someone to look after them. I doubt these Russian or Serbian grannies are nationalistic in the true sense of that word, they just developed a pathological need to get taken care by others. Communism had made this parasite class of people stand out even more than in the west, although your social nanny state with migrants and nigs had a very detrimental effect as well

How mutually assured is it anymore though? The recent shit with Iran featured 100s of ballistic missiles being shot down. Sure, a nuclear war with Russia would entail some US cities getting nuked, but not exactly "destruction". And then there's the additional fact that cities getting nuked would actually be a good thing and only make the country better.
