In USA. It was reported in Finland
https://www.iltalehti.fi/terveysuutiset/a/65418539-e5ba-485e-abb4-98230cd4691a
Two Americans went swimming in USA and got infected by Centaurum Legionellorum bacteria which killed them.
58 people were infected on the same place at the same day but only two died.
The bacteria was the same seen in Finland 2 weeks ago in JΓ€rvisydΓ€n bathhouse. But in Finland people were not infected and the swimming pools were closed until water has been declared clean. Bacteria was seen in weekly water quality check.
It is not known why there was an infected pool in USA.
Symptoms:
>2 weeks for symptoms to appear, after infection
>initially you get cough, sore throat, headache, muscle pain in various muscles
>later it turns into diarrhea
>5% of the infected get a prolonged lung disease, this is what kills, the other symptoms arent extreme
>those with prolonged bacterial lung will die in 33% of the cases unless treated with proper antibiotics, the immune system cant usually get rid of the bacteria at that point by itself
>however 95% will not even get their lungs colonized by the bacteria. in a stomach its not so big deal
