How do I quit smoking?
I need help bros? I love smoking, or at least using nicotine but my lungs and neck are starting to feel it. I think I might already have pre-cancer in my neck, I can feel something isn’t normal. No I will not go to a doctor, I accept my fate ultimately
I just wanted to ask if anyone has any tips to quit and if I do have something wrong with me, is there a way I can get ahead of it? I know I get what I deserve, but if anyone’s feeling charitable today

Start by attacking all vices at once. Stop cooming. Start sleeping 8 hours, wake up at 4am.

If possible try following a Sattvik diet.

It takes 7 days to remove the chemical dependency from your body. After that the rest is just not going back.
Get a hobby. Something away from home. Take up golf. Hike the Appalachian trail. Learn yoga. Let a strict dominatrix lock you up. The bottom line is don't sit around thinking about smoking, do something else.

Get a nic vape with high nic content. If they only sell low nic content then get 2 and hit them at the same time. I shit you not, you can keep adding vapes until you get a head buzz like your first cig. Then once you have swapped fully and dont want cigs at all you can decide if you want to stop vaping but it won't be as much of a rush to avoid cancer.

Vice swapping is the easiest way to get rid of the bad effects without having to give up your physical routines. You can still have a big nic puff first thing in the morning, it just wont be a burning ember with tar that fucks you up. Vapes aren't good for you either but its cleaner than what you're breathing now with less internal residue. Some will also say smoking weed helps too but the problem is you get high and don't always want to be high.

I got you

get a vape, get strong nicotine vape juice, and get an equal amount of zero mg juice. over the course of a year slowly replace your juice with the zero mg. Soon you will transfer completely off of nicotine and your desire to vape will disappear.

I did this. It is painles.

if you already have neck cancer (this is highly likely as lung cancer usually starts as neck cancer) then continuing to smoke is the only thing that will prevent that cancer from aggressively metastacizing. lots of people quit smoking at this point and all that happens is the cancer starts growing rapidly and kills them. keep smoking, the smoke is the only thing keeping you alive, your body is in equilibrium with the cancer. don't do anything to upset the delicate balance. like quitting smoking.

Chlorine Dioxide can help with your potential cancer. Many people have reported it fixing a variety of problems, such as kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, eye problems, cancer, covid, infections, and a plethora of other things. If you look it up online you'll get a bunch of articles saying its dangerous and that its bleach which is disingenuous. At 5% concentration its used as a bleach. The concentration for medical problems is .3%. I use it and I feel fine. It's also not the same thing as clorox bleach. Here's a good documentary that presents papers on the safety and efficacy of it.

Here's a video on how to make CDS/ Chlorine Dioxide solution.
rumble.com/vus0iz-getting-started-with-chlorine-dioxide-in-48-mins.-no-fear-or-confusion.html

Some things in the video I changed, like swapping out the Hydrochloric Acid for Citric Acid since CA doesn't dissipate into the air and get into the CDS like HCL acid. Also when measuring the concentration I mix 1ml of the CDS with 60ml of water since it'll be easier to determine the concentration of the CDS due to the coloring on the test strip (it should be around the 50ppm color). I follow Andreas Kalckers method for making it, which is 10ml of 25% sodium chlorite mixed with 10ml of 50% citric acid in a glass beaker in a jar with 250ml of water in the jar, which I let sit for 12 hours and then refrigerate after a couple of hours so the gas gets trapped in the water and doesn't release when I open the jar. I keep it in the fridge indefinitely

Most of this advice is wrong because it's predicated on the idea that it's the nicotine which is addictive. I've been using nicotine pouches for at least a year now, but I'm using the lip pillows with nothing else in them. Sometimes I'll just plain forget they exist for a week. No plan, no willpower involved, if it's not convenient to have the nicotine I'll just not have it for days or weeks at a time, until I remind myself that's a thing I can do. Does that sound like an addictive chemical to you?

What's addictive about cigarettes isn't the nicotine it's everything else they put in it. So you can't ease off cigs by using other forms of nicotine. Nothing else is like cigs so you need to accept that it's just going to be a hard cold turkey quit. Take a week or two off, get into a new environment, break the habit. Go do ayahuasca maybe.

in your neck? unless your mean specifically your throat during inhalation and exhalation, you might just be fighting off a virus and have swollen lymph nodes.
ANYWAY
dont “taper off”. run your pack of smokes under the sink right now. grab a cheap piece of exercise equipment like a dumbbell or iron gym, even some floor space for pushups will do. when you have a craving for nicotine, just start blasting out reps until youre out of breath. its gonna suck for a while but youve gotta replace the hand-to-mouth with something. mints help in a pinch, but exercise will confer more of a net positive.
GET YOURSELF LEMONS AND SALT. add those to warm/hot water and gargle. you wont have the tobacco smell to distract from your shit ass breath anymore, and youll start noticing a gross odor emanating from your mouth. gargle! itll help, plus the activity can help break a craving. the salt and lemon will additionally help to break up phlegm and soothe your throat.
if you dont already walk, youll want to start. you may have years of tar lining your lungs. as it starts to break up and your cilia start moving around again, its going to be gross. youre going to hack up a gallon of loogies in the first week, especially if you smoked degen sticks like newports. this will also contribute to the stank emanating from your filthy facesewer. walking around will help your lungs start approaching normal again.
LAST, nicotine is an appetite suppressant and deadens your taste buds. things are about to start tasting amazing, so be sure to control what you eat.

On average, withdrawals will set in around 48 hours. its gonna be mad shitty for like 5 days. by two weeks post-quit, nicotine will be out of your system and the smell of cigarettes should ideally gross you out by then. at this point, its all mental. beat the cravings.
best of luck anon

Get the patches; the life brand ones from shoppers are fine.
Follow the advice they give, ie 2 weeks each strength, 6 weeks total - if you're a cheap bastard like me you could get the strong ones and cut them up to make the smaller dose ones.
(There's likely good reasons not to do this but it worked for me - use your judgement though)
Find another thing to stuff in your face hole; cock obviously, duh, but hard boiled sweets are also good, peanuts or something like that, anything that acts as a bit of a substitute.
And good fucking luck m8; it's a vile habit, the only reason you enjoy it is addiction, and your health will improve within days of quitting.

Taper off with a vaporiser.

Inhaling smoke (the radioactive products of combustion from organic matter, tobacco is but one example) is what ultimately causes lung cancer. Vaping, in comparison, is fairly benign.

brave ai summary of "johns hopkins iatrogenic deaths study"
>Research from Johns Hopkins University, published in The BMJ in May 2016, estimates that over 250,000 deaths per year in the United States are due to medical errors, which are categorized as iatrogenic causes—unfavorable outcomes resulting from medical or surgical treatment.
> This figure surpasses the number of deaths attributed to chronic respiratory disease, the third leading cause of death according to the CDC, and places medical errors as a leading cause of death in the U.S., ranking behind only heart disease and cancer.
> The study, led by Dr. Martin Makary, analyzed data from 2000 to 2008 and extrapolated findings to estimate that medical errors account for approximately 9.5% of all annual deaths in the country.
The researchers argue that the current system for reporting causes of death on death certificates fails to recognize medical errors, as the International Classification of Diseases billing codes were not designed to capture such data, leading to a lack of attention and funding for patient safety initiatives.
> They advocate for updated criteria to classify deaths on death certificates to better reflect the true impact of medical errors.

no easy way to quit smoking.
nicotine receptors are exponentially developed as nicotine enters the system and there is enough nicotine in nightshade plants to keep them active for decades.

As you withdrawal the majority of them will die off, but you will now always have more nicotine receptors than someone who didn't smoke.
Which is why smoking is as addictive as say heroin and other hard drugs.

Nothing is going to save you.
At some point you just have to quit.
The closest i've got to quitting was taper method with patches, gum, and vapes.
problem is always once I reach 2.5mg daily intake, at this point you are filtering out so much nicotine that you might as well be in withdrawal.

So go ahead and taper, just realize around 5mg or lower you will reach the point you have withdrawal symptoms even though you are still ingesting nicotine.
One day you just have to quit.

this is good advice, to switch to a vape
another thing you could do is switch to native cigarettes if you haven't already. just the bagged ones are ok.
they don't have the same additives as commercial ones do, and it's the additives which are addictive. so they even put these addictive falvourings in junk foods, legit addictive stuff. this is also in most vapes as well
i found one place online that had nic salts that were just the carrier plus nicotine plus organic menthol. when i quit it, i just put it down and never picked it up again.
the thing with vapes is you want to hit them allllll the time, but if you forget you have it, or can't get to it for a while, you don't get the same junkie freakout that you do when you can't smoke, like at work between breaks or on a plane etc.
at the end of the day vapes are way cheaper and way better for your health, and much much easier to quit
the store i used was canadavapes (dot) com

Nicotine pouches. Gum/patches are overpriced scam shit. Though you would then be hooked on pouches instead. Still better off as a starting point to then try to quit nicotine itself. Nicotine is toxic but nothing close to the deadliness of smoking cigs.

Drink water. Drink lots and lots, till your stomach aches a little.
Take a vacation away from all those spots around your house and town, where you always smoked.
Go on a longtrip to somewhere interesting where you have never been, Niagara Falls or one of those spectacular caves, to distract from your cravings.
I cold turkeyed and it was annoying for the first three days but I set myself a good task to complete, and soon the cravings mellowed out, and after a week I could inhale twice as much air and I said why did I wait this long.
Good luck bro, it is WORTH IT.
