>lose weight or gain muscleIf you're more than 20lbs overweight. Lose it and also do strength training. Doesn't have to be super hard or long, just stay consistent and always be shooting to go longer or with more weight. Do a few minutes of cardio first to get your heart going. You don't have to be ripped, just not a tub of shit or super thin and it will give you natural discipline and confidence if you just keep your schedule
>meet people in generalFind something you're good at like singing or playing music, whatever that other people can appreciate and find a place to exhibit it that isn't only you like a karoke bar or open mic. Go regularly, stay sober, talk to people but don't go overboard. Let them control where things go more.
>meet womenEventually you will get to know some women in your going out. They may be single or not. Just don't emotionally invest any more in them than they do in you. Eventually one will show interest in you and realize they need to be somewhat direct. If you're really too awkward to seek it out and play the social game well enough, which I am, your best bet is just being a stable, decent, and present person.
