Pedos and anti-feminist and hackers are not permitted in the Linux Kernel anymore.
Reiser's Journaling file system, which was a Godsent when it came out, was removed because of this. The code was still working fine.
In the past you didn't need "maintainers" once you donated your code to Linux. That wasn't a "thing". Now only corporates and women are permitted.
