Nice intentions but will do fuck all. I worked with homeless literally in Glasgow for years. We would give out sleeping bags all the time and they just yeet them constantly when they can't be bothered carrying it after they wake up or sell them to another homeless to make a fort out of for Β£2. Then like clockwork come 1am they came banging on the van stating we were abusing their rights not giving them another. If you point out you gave them three that week they'd just tell you to fuck off and go strolling off.

Solar powered bags are getting sold for coke same day.

I'm pretty sure it's a just a polar panel on a backpack which stores energy to a battery, which then powers the blanket.

Having a battery makes the idea slightly less horrible, but you'd need a pretty massive battery to deal with any serious cold.

This is stupid DEI woman promotion.

This is literally a heated blanked connected to a battery and a solar panel, all 3 are commercial products ANYONE can easily combine. And they've been products for at least a decade or two.

It's also stupid because for the literal cost of that crap, you could rent shit for a month. Shelter is way fucking better than a shitty heated blanket.

Also this excarcebates the problem. Majority of these are mentally ill people that should be put euthanized or at the very least put in mental hospitals. The rest are junkies who should be put to work.
