Never used credit cards, always paid cash.
Unless you were genuinely so broke you were about to go homeless, having some extra disposable income to spend on yourself wasn't seen as a "luxury", it's was the norm. And this wans't some long forgotten era, I'm only in my mid 20's, this was shit we had in the 2010's. I wonder what could have happened in the later end of the 2010's that could have caused the economy to take such a downturn despite major corporations constantly reporting record profits...
