"You're entitled to nothing." says the Boomer who never gave anything to begin with
All the ones who say I am entitled to nothing have done is take and take and take. They say what they say because they know the ones they have taken from realize they are getting nothing back. You follow their rules, pay the prices they tell you will open career opportunities and they slam the door in your face once they've gotten what they want out of you. Everything is like this now because they have willed it to be so. They have been given more than enough and it doesn't make me entitled if I want something tangible back and don't want to give anymore if all I keep getting is nothing.
