My Linux machine runs on 1GB of RAM idle, absolutely no bloatware (I use arch, btw) not even a desktop environment (I use hyprland, btw).
Everything is available to open, use and resize with shortcut keys and mouse optional. I can SSH into my desktop to use my GPU for AI tasks like transcription or my local uncensored LLM, and I self host all my pirated media and personal images so I don’t need to pay for subscriptions or iCloud. Personal VPN.
Costs $0, viruses wouldn’t even know how to install themselves. Meanwhile Mac won’t let me see the file tree in Finder, Windows forces candycrush and takes screenshots of my display, and crashes out if I spam hit the windows key to open the start menu enough times to use 100% of my RAM.
