Leftists hate it when you point out that National Socialism was in fact quite Socialist. They also hate when you point out that the majority of people killed by the German state were killed by the regular things: starvation and getting shot. They propagate the gas chamber myth to make muh holocaust seem like a special and unique type of genocide, when it's no different from how China and the USSR did it.

Communism was pushed onto the west years ago, very slowly, targeting students and education and it's been surprisingly effective. They mostly target America because it them kinda spreads through Europe. Just 20 years ago Americans hated commie and I spoke to some of my friends American family and they would use commie as an insult but now people like aoc and bernie are platforming communist policies. I don't think governments are too bothered by it because communism gives the state a lot of control.

This. It behooves everyone to remember that left/right is a dynamic that comes from the mechanics of first-past-the-post democracies where 51% of the votes means 100% of the power. It's not actually reflective of the breadth and depth of human political ideals.

The Nazis took out the labor unions. They aren't anywhere near socialist. Lots of fascist governments have put "socialist" or "communist" or "people's" or "worker's" somewhere in their name to crate a false sense of legitimacy among leftist groups in the country. And then they end up cozying up to private/corporate interests. Make no mistake - socialism means worker ownership of the means of production. That doesn't mean the government gets it, and it doesn't mean you get to keep a bunch of corporate power structures alive.

Communism requires killing off the corporate power structures that are currently in bed with the state. They are doing everything in their power to stop it.

China manage it pretty well. The capitalists get to make their money but they get fill control and if they threaten the system like jack ma, they lose half their wealth and come back looking gaunt after being re-educated. Govts are definately softly implementing communist policies but I think they just want the power, not to remove the billionaires.

>The Nazis took out the labor unions.
So did all the other socialist countries. Labor unions are only useful in capitalist societies, and even then they tend to degenerate into corrupt organizations that only serve to benefit a few people on top while taxing the workers.

Nazism is left wing because Nazism is collectism and that's all the left wing is: collectivism. The right wing is the individual. The further right you go, the more you will find the individual and the concept of individualism. The right wing path is an inherent struggle, as the individual will always be outnumbered by the collective, and if individuals are to integrate other individuals into there philosophies & ideologies, it comes at the expense of the individual, for it has now become a collective. Really what we are trying to do is delineate ego from pathological altruism.
