I got an Oscar cichlid with a damaged eye a few days ago from a Local Fish Store. The other cichlids were priced at $60, but pop-eye (what we named him) was marked down at $10
I was shocked. He was in great health minus the protruding eye. So we obviously got him. He’s a good 12” long.
Flash forward 4 days later, and his eye fully healed. I was like “waaaaat? Why did the store decide to sell a perfectly good fish for 1/6th the price like that??”
His name will remain despite his eyes being ok
