I don’t understand zoomer nostalgia
It seems very weird and alien to me. I’m in my early 20’s personally but I don’t think I ever felt nostalgia in my life. I remember my childhood very vividly but it was mostly just me doing things, trying to entertain myself, fantasizing about being an adult and doing cool things, and trying to avoid punishment. I hated being completely helplessly and dependent on my parents who often fought each other. So I mean I remember my childhood but I don’t feel any nostalgia, do zoomers feel this way because they like the feeling of helplessness? Or was everyone else’s childhood an idyllic paradise and I’m the weird one for being an only child with parents who hated each other? Girls do this more but it’s understandable considering how they regret being whores (sex isn’t too different psychologically from killing people) and whatever, but guys? Dude I had fantasizes about being a MAN back when I was 5 and 6 I wanted to go to WAR.

Most of my nostalgia is around age 12+.
If I were 22 that would mean my nostalgia would kick in around 2015. What did 2015 have, besides not being completely dystopian? Overwatch was fun

The past was a simpler time to understand, so zoomers, surrounded by shit no one bothers to explain to them .. like smartphones .. want to do something they can understand. Like restore an old 486 off eBay and run Windows 3.11

Things were better then, but nostalgia is something you should have as a fleeting emotion. “Oh I remember that, that was fun” then go back to your current life.

The nostalgia “80s kids” or “90s kids” are just morons. They are nostalgic about being children because they still want to be children today. And because they were all spoiled, bratty children they remember it even more fondly. No manager, no customers, no time pressure etc etc. Just them and their toys and shit TV shows.
>WOW HAVE YOU SEEN THAT FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR THEMED BURGER POPUP SHACK . REMEMBER THAT SHOW? MAN I LOVED THE 90s. NO NOT THE YUGOSLAV WARS OR BILL CLINTON AND TONY BLAIR DESTROYING ANGLO-AMERICAN STANDARDS OF LIVING, JUST 3D DORITOS AND POKÉMON YELLOW
You’re 37 years old. You need to seriously assess your life choices

Same. I am 37 and never felt nostalgic. Nostalgic for what, 90s war, dial up internet, shitty porn, ugly clothes, having no money? No thanks.

Unless you were in the JewSA back then and lived in the era back then when everyone felt so moch hope and that everyone KNEW the best was yet to come......... THEN
fast forward to the shitty timeline we are in now where most only feel despair and know woesr things are coming, YOU will just NOT understand.

I've heard that the conceptual packages of 2000s and 2010s culture didn't materialise because there wasn't an intuitive name for those decades (aside from noughties I guess). But I think that would only affect history's view of the decades.
I feel pretty nostalgic for the games, websites, shows and most of all school. When I went to give talks at some primary schools it was great seeing all the those design patterns (e.g. kid accessible handles and furniture)
But I had a great time in school. Adult life is a lot worse imo.
