You'll move back when you realize Japanese people hate you, eating rotten basedbeans and slimey vegetables isn't the delicacy everyone said, the only job you can get is at 7-11 on a temporary visa, and the anime shops and kimonos you moved there for aren't actually all that interesting.

kek, how is this always the response? 'I want to move to Japan and not contribute my labor to anything Japanese' I swear every single person who wants to live in Japan is either functionally retired or wants to make western money against the weak yen. The place is going to get completely gentrified at this point. And no speaking the language doesn't mean you assimilated in the same way if I learned Swedish went there then started flipping properties and leeching benefits. Japan is functionally a retirement home/theme park.

I thought the American dream was starting up a business and turning it into an enterprise. It's always been fake, but in Japan you have businesses that are almost entirely propped up by bad loans coming from pension funds. Your pay is basically pegged to whatever the megacorp or government says it is. Is the American dream about getting subsidized by government, centralized planning, or corporate slavery now? I think the American dream was never real and it certainly isn't in Japan.

>Japan is functionally a retirement home/theme park.
Only in people's dreams (or Pewdiepie's reality).

Most people who say they want to move/escape to Japan don't have any way to get a working visa because they have no marketable skills in Japan. No, knowing English is not a marketable skill, billions of people speak it around the world, it's basically the subhuman lingua franca.

You won’t get any non-meme reponses. Best you’ll get is like Monaco (nevermind the fact that you need to be a multimillionaire there while you can retire on 700k EUR in Japan)
