What the fuck do we even need professional programmers for now? Your modern PC fulfills the same basic functions as an Apple Lisa from 1983. The knowledge to program your own shit is readily available. I learned to program in Assembly by reading a book and doing it. Vibecoding in AI is easy af and it’s a real good debugger and optimizer too. Specializing in programming is like being as expert grocery shopper. Data scientists are next on the chopping block.

You probably want to tell it to write code small blocks at a time rather than coding an entire website in a single prompt. Disclaimer: am not a programmer and I only used AI to write code for me on one occasion and that was only a few lines.

Vibe coding is still pretty much a meme unless everything the thing spits out is vetted by someone who actually knows what he's doing. These things are really good, but a lot of times they can fuck up in weird and unexpected ways that a noob won't catch. I still wouldn't trust a fully vibe coded project, especially if it was important.
