What is hard to quantify is the knock on effect of tariffs. For example, if you tariff foreign steel and it helps preserve jobs at a local steel mill you get to say 'we saved 5000 steel worker's jobs!'. Its been around 500 billion dollars, they come from every country with a trade surplus, among them Japan, South Korea, Qatar, Saudia, UAE. Germany, The Netherlands and Argentina. Russia and Venezuela also used to send money before they became enemies.

Is this a surprise to you? Global trade and financial flows add up to zero and cancel each other. Net exporters require net importers, and countries with a financial surplus require countries with a deficit to send the money to. The US is a sink of imports and financial flows.
