Tariffing stuff you can't produce at home is pretty retarded. You're just hurting your own consumers. People are still gonna buy bananas, foreign countries are still gonna sell bananas, Americans are just gonna pay more for them.

The US consumer has had it pretty good with tropical fruit from south America due to the strong exchange rate , they will absorb the tariff, the hike on coffee as well will have to just be absorbed.
