I don't see why not as long as they periodically pass some reasonable standardized tests to demonstrate that you're actually teaching them. Homeschooling is stupid. It's advocates will dishonestly claim their better outcomes are the result of homeschooling and not selection effects. Why do I know they are dishonest? These high performing homeschoolers are highly-educated Christian spergs, who are statistically literate enough to know better. I think it's fine if people do it K-7 or K-8, because it's probably not any worse overall. I'm a bit more dubious 8-12 because a lot of adults got filtered by trig and alg 2, and so are unqualified to teach it but they can hire tutors or whatever. And there is a good chance that you end up with an incel or femcel kid if they are isolated throughout highschool by homeschooling.

Homeschoolers will be their own undoing however, because they resist any sort of standardization or government follow up to make sure that they are actually teaching their kids. Like it or not, a lot of bad parents use homeschooling to isolate, abuse, or just let the kids run wild while they do drugs. On the balance, I'm not convinced homeschooler child abuse is more prevalent than the kinds of child abuse that happen in traditional schools. On the flip side, if it's not any better and CPS is constantly dealing with malicious wigger parents doing the above kind of "homeschooling", there's no reason to allow it since it's not like it's any better.

I want to say that outcomes overall for homeschooling are slightly worse for a given level of parental education and income, but it's not enough for me to want it to be illegal. I wouldn't lose much sleep if it were banned, however.

Private schooling isn't the same thing. And the poors will always find a way to underperform regardless of curriculum.

However, if you have two doctors, one sends his kid to private school or a magnet - and the other homeschools, it's usually the homeschooler that slightly but noticeably underperforms even though they're both bright kids that do pretty well for themselves overall. There's something about homeschooling that doesn't work. Maybe they aren't as motivated because it's mom and dad, when the grind is more important than ever. Maybe it's missing out on networking with other successful people. I'm not sure.

I was homeschooled from 4th grade til graduated high school. Legit all I did was 3 hours worth of video modules each morning, did a 5 minute online review test at the end of each morning's modules, then had weekly / monthly / 1 annual test online on the curriculum. Did okay - 3.25 out of a 4.0 average, so a "B average". Took the comprehensive final exam at a regional testing outfit to get my high school diploma, passed it with a 87/100. I know some have complaints about "lack of socialization" for home schooled kids. I live in extremely rural south eastern Kentucky on a back dirt road with only 2 neighbors within a 3 mile stretch of road. My now-wife was the only kid my age I had to socialize with since her parents home schooled her too. So I guess it was only natural I fell for her hard. She took my virginity when we were 14, been inseparable practically our entire lives. So I never personally experienced the "downside" of home schooling most people insist us home schooled types experience.

In practice, it's more likely to be a dad in a fairly high-powered career and his college-educated SAHM wife who both happen to be fundies. Their kids usually do slightly worse than the similarly educated and successful peers they go to Church with that instead send their kids to that private school that produces a bunch of National Merit finalists every year (if you're familiar with that; I don't know how testing works in Germany).

Mixed bag. Really depends on the family, the time and effort they put into it, and the kids engagement with learning. It can turn out better than the most expensive private schools and turn out the most self sufficient intelligent and capable people you'll ever have the pleasure to meet or it can produce semi-literate retards worse than any niggerfied half ass public school. The socialization part isn't a problem with the good famlies. So long as they aren't trying to raise hardcore separatists totally isolated from the world and are instead just trying to prepare them for the world a bit longer and better instill values and ethic it's a plus. Homeschooling can certainly make the best of a bad situation where parents can't afford to go private or buy a house in a good district. They shouldn't expect miracles, because their inability to secure a career that lets them avoid the tyranny of the bottom quintile means that their children are probably similarly mediocre to their parents.

I've noticed the kids not playing with toys thing a lot, feels like parents are so incredibly lazy that they won't buy any and just give them a screen, I feel bad for them. Kids will even play with bits of wood that have wheels nailed to them. It feels like they lock kids into a plain white room with nothing except a screen and wonder why they become addicted.
