Reuters reports that President Trump will host leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan in the White House tomorrow to sign an agreement which will give the United States exclusive development rights to the Zangezur corridor.

This is a part of a larger geopolitical deal. The United States is increasing its influence in the Central Asia, South Caucasus, Turkey region.

There are reports that the corridor will be named "Trump’s Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP).

Goods and infrastructure investments, not weapons and soldiers, will flow along the corridor. This will bring stability to the region and will weaken Russia's influence there.

Note that during negotiations about Zangezur corridor, Russia has launched a strike on Ukrainian Orlivka gas compression station, through which Azerbaijan gas supplies began recently. That was a clear signal from Putin to President Aliyev that Russia might escalate its aggression against Azerbaijan.

Russian attacks are covert; Russia prefers the "thousand cuts" tactic. It's not hard to assume that Russia will attempt to disrupt the normal functioning of the corridor.

The head of Pre-Trial Detention Center No. 2 in Russia's Taganrog personally ordered the systematic torture and psychological pressure against Ukrainian journalist Viktoriia Roshchyna, who died in Russian captivity, according to statements by the Office of the Prosecutor General and the National Police of Ukraine.

Investigation reported that Russians brought Viktoriia, abducted in the occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region, to the pre-trial detention center in Taganrog on December 30, 2023, where she was held until September 8, 2024. While held in the detention center, Viktoriia Roshchyna was subjected to "systematic torture, beatings, humiliation, threats, severe restrictions on access to medical care, drinking water and food," as well as "physical punishment and psychological pressure aimed at forcing her to cooperate with the facility’s administration."

"The suspect was fully aware that the journalist was a civilian, had not taken part in the armed conflict, and had the status guaranteed to her under international humanitarian law, yet he deliberately violated the provisions of the Geneva Convention and other international treaties," the Office of the Prosecutor General emphasized.

Combat medic of the 3rd Assault Brigade, Maryna Hrytsenko, was killed by a Russian drone while carrying out a combat mission.

Maryna was 39 years old. She had worked for many years as the chief custodian of museum collections. After the start of the full-scale invasion, Maryna lived in the museum with her daughter to protect the exhibits from Russian looters.
