did you know that trump's economic secretary was neighbors with epstein? just a cohencidence. he's driving around in one of his many classic ferarris while you're worried about the taxes they put on you while pretending they are based.

>The way to crush the bourgeoisie [middle class] is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.
- Lenin

When will ya'll wake up and realize they are doing this on purpose because they hate you. They tell you this constantly and yet you disbelieve them.

America doesn't make anything and what it does make is poor quality. It will take literal decades for the Americans to develop a home-grown industrial sector on foot of the tariffs, which is assuming that the tariffs survive the next Democrat administration, and in the meantime American consumers are just going to have to pay more.

That would be $600, plus taxes and tips. Thank you

The purpose is to get you to stop buying foreign crap.
But yeah Trump is also an idiot.

Americans are the most servile and deferrent people in the developed world. Possible exception of the Scandinavians. They constantly beat their chests about the whole DON'T TREAD ON ME, LIBERTY OR DEATH, FREEDOM bullshit because they're incredibly insecure about the fact that most of them would happily sit there in silence while a cop fucked their wives or while trump raped their kids.

Yep. An industrial base takes generations to build and years to destroy.

who TF thought tariffs would make shit cheaper?
>companies produce normal products in the US
>enter globalism
>"hey, if you produce your shit in chinkland, you only have to pay your wageslaves cents on the dollar and can pocket all the profits instead of paying american workers"
>companies move their production to chinkland, india, etc
>due to free trade they can just produce there and ship it to here without consequence
>they turn from something that provides a bunch of jobs while having the population be productive, a benefit to society, to something that just parasitically takes from american society and gives them cheap chink shit in return
>enter tariffs
>"yoo, producing in chinkland is bad, you should produce here, you have to pay an extra tax for shit imported from china so domestic industry can compete without chink slave labour"
>if the tariffs are high enough, companies will do the cost-benefit analysis that producing shit in the US is actually cheaper than in chinkland
>domestic deregulation so that even if the old businesses try to be stubborn, try to just push the tariffs onto the end consumer increasing the prices of imported products, a new investor who thinks "$2000 for a smartphone?! I'm sure I can build one for $1000 here in the US" and start his own business
The goal of tariffs if done right is to create a fuckton of jobs, if you combine that with not importing half of mexico and india for cheap foreign labor, supply and demand forces on the job-market WILL DRASTICALLY INCREASE WAGES, theres now a lot more jobs than workers, instead of jobs being hard to get and a shitty middle class job getting 1000 applications, there's now an oversupply of jobs that need to be filled compared to workers, workers don't compete for jobs, companies compete for workers by offering better conditions, higher wages, more PTO, etc.

Whole point is to make you not want to buy shit from Africa you're going to have to pay $300 shipping on

Imagine it like Tinder:
currently the companies are the females, they get 1000s of likes (applications) and therefore are extremely bitchy and have ridiculous standards, because, just like women, they want the perfect combination of the best traits of all their candidates combined in a single individual.
Thats how you get companies demanding a 20yo having a Masters degree and 20 years of work experience for an entry level role.
Its literally just the corporate equivalent of
>I'm looking for a man in finance. Trust fund. 6' 5. Blue eyes.
Now Tariffs done right turn that game around 180 degree.
Now workers are the "females on tinder", they are the ones that get to pick and choose between jobs, they literally get spammed with job offers in which the companies have to compete for the workforce of that worker by ever increasing benefits, more pay, more healthcare benefits, more PTO, etc.
THAT is the job market dynamic you eventually want to achieve in a healthy economy.
And that isn't fucking utopia.
Not as exaggerated as described here, but where TF do you think the boomer mindset of the "firm handshake" came from?
Its because back then that WAS all you needed to get a semi-good paying middle class job.
