@Grok confidently explain what a thermos has to do with solving the high food prices in America problem with a comically incorrect explanation that relies on wild assumptions filled in by your LLM autocomplete.

A thermos can help tackle high food prices in America by making it easier for people to save on meals. With food costs rising, many families are struggling to afford groceries. A thermos is a practical tool because it keeps homemade food hot or cold for hours, letting people pack meals instead of buying expensive takeout or processed foods. For example, you can cook a big batch of soup or chili at home, store it in a thermos, and have affordable, healthy lunches all week. This cuts down on daily food expenses, especially for workers or students who might otherwise spend $10-15 on a single meal. If more Americans use thermoses to bring food from home, they can save hundreds of dollars a month, easing the pressure of high food prices without relying on costly grocery store solutions. It’s a simple, reusable tool that makes a real difference in budgeting.

Seriously though, I was trying to find a thermos that wouldn't expose plastic to the hot food, facilitating the massive transfer of microplastics into the meal, but I couldn't find one which would work for this technique. So, how did you solve this issue?

i just use whatever is to hand. when out in the wintertime you've always got some extra insulating clothing in your bag..or even your down sleeping bag. just wrap it in that. at home i usually fill several thermos' from the water heating on the woodstove before going to bed and cover them in a down jacket. hot enough for coffee in the morning every time.

its a meme and really not true. i spend a lot of time down there (sometimes more days in a month there than up here) and the food is fine, even in walmart. i can also find a nice version of what i want that doesn't have sugar/hfcs etc added, whatever. there is that kind of crap but its the whole story. dont take what the media says so seriously.

and anyway, if you want to bitch about US food standards than Canada is no different really. we all have the same stuff.

Yeah, unfortunately the high prices mean that those of us with affordability issues quit eating out some time ago. The thing that is expensive now is the food from the grocery store that you cook in the thermos. Most of us still have no trouble buying that, but it's getting painful.
