While a bunch of people on here were freaking out about neets possibly getting relief checks, I asked why people weren't equally upset about congress critters misusing their position by using inside information to dump their stocks on the market, Some bootlicking fuck actually asked me if I expected them to lose money and I should got suck a dick. Politicians stocks and investments should be converted into the country's currency and put into a bank account at a 0% interest rate.
They should then be locked from making any investment for two years after their term.
Thus, the only way they could get richer would be by increasing the value of their currency.
I also believe elected officials representing the people should earn the median wage (adjusted to how many hours they put in).
Both measures would force politicians to take steps that would improve the life of everyone in their country.

Full on ban of all stock ownership will never happen and is entirely unrealistic and performative on her part because she knows it will never happen.
The only thing that might ever have a snowball's chance in hell is to only allow Senators during their terms to put new money into a large publicly traded broad index fund. This allows them to continue investing like everyone else but they are now more beholden to the performance of the market as a whole and regular citizens can also easily make the the exact same investments as the politicians.

Again it will never happen either way, but a full ban on "stock ownership" is an utter joke, she might as well put on the clown hat.
