They do not want you growing your own food.
Any calories you grow for yourself are calories you don't buy from them.
They select cultivars that have no flavour and no nutrients only to sell them to you at exorbitant costs.
Say "NO!" and grow some food.

There are so many varieties you'll never see at stores because they don't have a huge shelf life or are too fragile for mass production or they just decided for whatever reason that the one thing they do grow is what the consumer wants and you don't get a choice. It's like our elections, really. They pick the candidates.

>10 years old
>father showed me how to grow vegetables one year
>we build a vegetable box
>a trellis
>grew potatoes, broccoli, carrots, radishes and peas the first year
>thought it was really fun and cool
>kept doing it on my own initiative ever since
>was always interested in biology and plants and animals from a young age anyways
>naturally it expanded into foraging since I had gathered a lot of knowledge of wild plants
I've bigger plans every year. I made a big greenhouse this year and propagated a bunch of herbs and flowers. I'm thinking of selling them for extra money on the side. I just like the process of growing things and I am gonna have to get rid of the stuff I grew because I don't need all that

Liberal hippies are really good at this. Hot ass white women who eat healthy and enjoy physical activity flock to gardens. You have to be liberal to marry one though. My wife and I grow tomato plants 2ft wide 2ft deep and 8 feet tall. We will yeild 35 lbs per plant. We compost and raise rabbits for fertilizer. We live in a major city and do it all on a standard house lot. The woke have known about self sustainability for an long time. With canning we will be eating tomatoes from our garden year round. Not to mention onions and garlic anf peppers. With crops not being picked due to Ice raids and farmers on suicide watch thanks to tariffs. We share our knowledge with others despite how toxic their politics.
