There is virtually no reason to hire a straight actor to play a homosexual for a bit part. The star of the movie? Sure, a straight man could be cast for that, but for very minor gay roles they will just hire a gay jew 99% of the time.

I thought everyone knew that almost every gay character is played by a gay. It's why almost all of those actors are completely out of the closet. It would be a full-time job trying to pretend to be straight while completely nailing gay roles.
