Indians from Punjab are scamming their way into Canada through diploma mills as fake students that work ubereats, or they are brought in through LMIA fraud. Indians buy up restaurants and franchised stores with long hours so they can sell the LMIA positions to Indians in India so they can be brought over here for work, while they are most widely known as Timmigrants I think they actually took over Popeyes first, around 2010, at that time a lot of Tim Hortons are still run by owners using flips as Temporary Foreign Workers., those wanted to stay a while in Canada and earn money, but don't want to be nannnies or PSW -- mostly that stopped because flips want rights and food standards to be maintained.
The following Indian overtaken businesses in 2025:
- Dollarama -- haven't found one that isn't Indian run now even in East Asian and White Jew neighbourhoods
- Popeyes -- since 2010 and probably even before since there is no beef, and the business provide free food for the Indians that probably rent a basement fro the franchise owner
- Circle K and Mac's convenience stores -- I've sen THREE Indian male employees at a Circle K that had no customers,
The following is often Indian, but you might still find flips or thai in areas with white jew or east asian customers:
- Subways
- Longo Supermarket
TIm Horton is mostly Indian because of supply chain, but some rare locations still have old white ladies, or flips.
McDonlds is still pretty multi-racial, as is Loblaws Supermarket. Farm Boy is mostly Indian with a few non-Indians, I think it's because they push a lot of plant based stuff, they havea hot food section they probably use t feed the staff, even if unofficially. Farm Boy also have way less beef products than Loblaws which have beef tripe, Sobeys that have beef liver, an Farm Boy has longer opening hours and are open on more holidays than Loblaws, Sobeys or Longo.
