This.
It's a strange time for "democracy" because it defininitely had to die to "protect" stability for the foreseeable future. The sad truth is that everything from journalists to political candidates are always backed by some rich bastards who have an ulterior motive, and it isn't just simple journalism or simple political grassroots people rising up to prominence.
It's large organizations or countries using subterfuge. Russia put billions into disinformation and social nudging, and China is probably doing the same. Ever since Trump got elected YouTube has been strangely full of pro-BRICS podcasts and left-skeptic "superstars" like that Triggernometry guy, or the old jew and Yanis whose videos are all Doomer and telling you the west is collapsing tomorrow.
It's all being done to make you believe that the current politicians are the ones to blame, but the reality is that while Starmer is an absolute cuck, he's working within a web of agents going against the liberal order and simultaneously trying to appeace international conflicts. Same with Von Der Leyes on nordic governments.
We're facing very targeted attacks on our democracies taking the guise of "freedom-seekers" and painting our governments as corrupt and draconian, and it works because our governments ARE becoming draconian, as a way to shield themselves from these kinds of attacks and social media signal boosting.
They've actually done a really good job at making our governments look like they're the ones who are against freedom.
