There has been yet another beating of an Indian national in Ireland. There have been no arrests so far. These racist attacks need to stop.

Condemnations are welcome, but they are not enough — we need concrete steps and a clear plan of action. Everyone knows teenagers are involved, yet none have been held accountable. Why?

I have lived in Ireland for four years. I don’t plan to settle here, but as a tax-paying resident, the least I should be able to expect is a dignified and safe life. I have followed all the rules. I expect Irish people to do the same.

I call upon Simon Harris, Government of Ireland, Embassy of India and Embassy of India Dublin to act immediately, make arrests without delay, and implement strict juvenile measures to ensure such incidents never occur again.
