The farmer question
>Farms are supposedly hard working people that struggles economically but are part of a billion dollar industry that will never fail because people need food and can always afford expensive equipment
>They need to grow a lot of food to keep their farms but also throw away tons of food
>Are supposedly in touch with nature but has no problem clearing forest to make way for more farmland, waste huge amount of waters and gives zero fuck about surface runoff & eutrophication
>Can dictate entire ecosystems and decided the fate of species that threatens their harvest and animals.
>Untold level of political clout, gets support from the right and the left no matter what. Go to any youtube video about farmers and the comment section always support the farmers. Never once questioning if they are in the wrong
Something isn't adding up here about farmers, what can be done about this?

Bring back horseback raiders to keep them in check. The grainoids should fear the HERD

Hire robots and give them the land. Eventually, that is going to happen

Forests don’t produce and we aren’t black so we clear and make things produce. Food is probably one of if not the most important things for society so they get clout.
t. Small farmer

Most forests in America were once farmland. You can go walk in the woods and suddenly come across old stone and wire fences abandoned to the growth by boomers who fled to the urban niggersprawl.

You're thinking corporate farming, but then most purchasers of farmed foods generally only want to deal with corporate farms because they're more year-round suppliers than the seasonal products independent farmers produce.

Mosquitos aren't typically found in forests, they prefer rivers and pounds

You have it all wrong. The real costs of farming exceed the fixed prices they can sell their goods for, which is why farming is subsidized. The government subsidizes farming because they can't allow people to know how high inflation really is, because inflation transfers wealth from the poor to the rich. Farmers are basically government serfs. They don't own their land, they work it. They don't sell their goods on a free market, they get what the government allows them to have.

You must go through university with specials on chemistry and maths to be allowed to be a farmer here.
That stuff is 10000 times more complex than some uber jeet rapist monkey driver.

But you can make most of those in a field at scale. That’s how you feed the world

No idea but it’s far better to overproduce and secure your food supply. It’s hard to be precise with this stuff

Perhaps but most of what's being thrown away isn't even being used for compost, we're stripping the earth of minerals and then we aren't even returning it

Then why is the agriculture lobby allowed to control so much and dictate policy's?
