last game i played was from 2011. it's based on the tabletop German version of d&d called Drakensang. series was a staple of the 1990s (realms of arkania: star trail, shadows over riva). Best of all every last single character is native Germanic European, and it's based in what looks like a fantastical recreation of medieval Europe.

Drakensang: River of Time, was an absolute, fucking awesome game, but it underperformed and consequently murdered the small German dev company. Some chinaman brand manager bought it and raped it to death with petty mobile and browser trashifications. so sad to see.

AAA is all woke trash. I only buy indie games, remasters of classic games (when they're on sale) and Japanese games.

I played through Resident Evil 2 remastered a while ago it was worth the $5 I payed for it.

I have a 5080/9800x3d pc and im playing garrys mod half the time, because the vast majority of modern games are horrendous bullshit. Like flat out msot of the new stuff i played has been literally indie.

It's especially noticeable with Oblivion, cause I know the exacts of this case.
The devs literally thought "Morrowind is too hard for the casual gamer, so we need to dumb it down to get more customers". And they have said this themselves.

So the end already had begun.
Im not gonna say no good games were made, but they were fewer and far between.
In the golden age you got a couple of genre defining masterpieces literally every year.
And the great old studios were already in decline, they produced good games but not masterpices any more.

So I would call it a silver age after 2004

It was never on display better than with recent Atlus games. Soul Hackers II and SMT-V were great examples, you could pay 80 for an unfinished game + 150 for all the mods, or you could simply say fuck it and buy the entire game with all the add ons for 20 a few years later. I was a big fan of Shin Megami Tensei Raidou VS the Soulless Army but then I learned they censored Lamia's tits in that remake and now I will never buy it until it's 10 dollars for the complete edition with all add-ons. These greedy kiked companies shot themselves in their dick. Fuck them I never buy the new release anymore. That's what's going down. I never played FFX until it was 20 years later and remastered. We simply don't need their new games, they already did everything we could play the old games and cycle through them all it would take a thousand years.
