So he sacrifices his career to get his relative out of jail where he would probably be killed for chomo stuff. It is what it is. He'll probably get reelected even if he gets called on it because he would probably apoeal to the human nature of his voters, saying that probably anyone would do it because of the circumstances. Nobody will let a family member get killed in prison if they have the power to stop it.
