If you don't read you're basically admitting to having a shallow understanding of the world and letting the TV and influencers decide your opinions for you.

I prefer the liberal pro-LGBT pro-BLM bookstore owners in my village more than I do "based tight wing trad alphas" who watch YT and podcasts all day

I try to read books once in awhile, but I always end up getting too bored of it and give up when I'm not either half way through the book I was reading. I much prefer going to gym or playing video games to spend my free time because I'm not dorky enough to enjoy literature I guess.

Literature is verbose. They thought they were being smart, they didn't have the internet. Lots of it is wrong too because they didn't have the internet.

I would prefer someone to write open source code or read research online to lots of literature. I don't even think enjoying art through movies is bad alternative, or the format of books is bad, I just don't see the need to for someone to read if they just don't like it.

Though, there is a art to writing and word choice through selective vocabulary. This seems dead in modern writers. I noticed it being very obvious in Of Other Spaces: Utopias and Heterotopias [1]
