When people say “relationship,” it’s implied that they mean a romantic relationship; dating, monogamy or something close to if, marriage, commitment… They don’t mean “fuck buddies.” If there’s a girl you get together with every Tuesday and Saturday, and the entirety of the situation is you going to her house and immediately going to the bedroom so she can suck your dick and you can fuck, and a friend asks you about it, would you say “we’re in a relationship?” No, you’d say she’s a fwb or something similar.
That type of gay “relationship” has skyrocketed because of ubiquitous internet porn.
