Ancient greek accomplishments are all either renaissance embellishments or cutting edge discoveries (for the time) made into something more sacrosanct by giving it the tint of antiquity.

Proto scientists did start from a flat earth. While the planets were undeniably round we only saw them from the 17th century onwards with our eyes.
Logical claims had a harsh time as many concepts couldn't be verified. To give one example, the parallax movement of stars couldn't be seen with medieval methods which brought us the amusing idea of a spheric heaven.

Once more: the spheric, heliocentric model took centuries to develop and verify. Those steps were hard to compute, prove and deserve respect.

I have the benefit of living next to a large lake with a city behind it. Standing on the water's edge, when I look at the city behind, I should only see buildings 21 storey's or higher. The lower 20 floors should be hidden behind the curve of the earth. Alas, nothing is obscured and I can zoom right in to the first floor, the boats in the harbour.

Can't say if it is flat or if it is round, much larger diameter than reported. But it definitely does not curve as they say it does.

The fact you deny such things in the face of them only shows how far you're willing to go to uphold your delusions.
