kek. yeah and they didnt just do it once. they did it 6 times in 3 years '69-72. But yeah almost 60 years later no country has even attempted to land people on the moon again. Or private corporation. Sixty years later and the pinnacle is currently humans 1/1000th of the distance from the moon. But hey it definitely happened, its not like the pictures look fake or anything, or they lost all the telemetry data and tech. stop being a cuck and start using your brain. I hope you're in your 20s because if you are the possibility exists you will live to see it be 100 years since those supposed man missions. I'm curious if at that point would you concede they faked it.
currently you have to believe USA 60s tech is more advanced that 2025 Japan/China/Russia and 2025 USA. And of course don't forget the private corps. And not just a little more advanced, like I said, they currently are maxed out at humans in low earth orbit, that is 1/1000th of the distance they covered 6 times and back safely in those 3 years, 1969-72.
so yeah, please be 23 or and be talking your shit 40 years from now arguing that 100 year old tech was just do darn good.

They had computers and modern technology. Here's the real reason though: Technology has been artificially limited since the 1960s, when we discovered free energy. Since then our lives have been a progressive sham experience. The actual level of technological development of humanity right now is far ahead of what you think. What we experience down here on the surface is a controlled life with strictly limited technology.

The Concorde was not particularly suited to most flight paths. It was almost exclusively used for trans-atlantic flights. There's plenty of people alive today who actually flew on one though.

They are actively trying to develop a modern supersonic airliner that doesn't sonic boom so loud while burning up huge amounts of fuel. I still wouldn't fly one because I'm not in a hurry, at least not enough to ever put up with the cattle car treatment and nasty security that you get with it.

My grandfather was one of the lead engineers that designed and built the satellite that monitored solar radiation for the Apollo mission and I've posted summaries of the radiation and it's tested effects and it was pointless. You can literally look up the time the ISS is overhead and physically look at it with a pair of basic bitch binoculars and idiots here will tell you with a straight face that it's a prop on a set somewhere. At an angle, you stable genius, and the best angle is 90Β°. Very advanced science, by Amerishart standards, I know.

It is very unlikely that that would suffice, due to the sheer amount of high-speed electrons in the outer belt. You would need serious shielding that only a lot of lead can provide.

Yes, you can - by lifting a shitload of lead in orbit, for the shielding. Care to guess why that is prohibitively expensive?

I was, until I watched "American Moon". Now I am not so sure it left orbit at all. Too many unanswered questions, without having to be a schizo about it.

Electrons are beta radiation
Beta radiation is blocked by a few millimeters of aluminum, not "a lot of lead"

>a trajectory that exits Earth's magnetosphere at one of the poles
Not even close to the truth

The Apollo flight paths specifically avoided the strongest part of the inner (strongest) Van Allen belt
And because of the physics of spaceflight, they were traveling the fastest as they were just escaping Earth's gravity well
So they avoided the worst and sped through the bad
And even then the overall dose was incredibly small, pic related

Readings were the average of various dosimeters that they carried on the Apollo spacecraft with the astronauts

Concorde was arguably the safest passenger aircraft. The only fatality accident it had was from hitting debris on a runway during takeoff which blew up a tire and punctured the fuel tanks.

The reason it retired was a combination of lower demand after 9/11 and the high cost of operation/maintenance. And it had super limited flight paths because it's sonic boom is a nightmare for residential homes.

Maintenance costs are super high for all passenger aircraft though, cutting corners is why so many planes are falling out of the sky lately.

All the money that was spent on the space race by Russia and the US, the 'race to the moon', was actually spent developing the ICBM, pilfered into the Military Industrial Complex.
Only a small percentage of that was used to create the set and film the lie.
The only proof you need that we never made it to the moon is the fact that we've never been back, even with all the advances in technology, metallurgy, insulating, shielding, and telecommunications. Because we STILL can't.
Stanley Kubrik had special lenses made specifically for the job, he got to keep one of them and nasa all has the other 4.
It was all a big show, and the sooner people accept that, the sooner they'll grasp how every major event that's been 'broadcast' the last 60 years has so been a show.

The manned moon landings were faked. However, the NASA moon mission was real. I know that sounds confusing but hear me out.

There really was 100,000 people working on the mission. There really were hordes of engineering teams working on every piece of the entire mission. They really did build Saturn rockets.

Everything was highly compartmentalized though. If you are on an engineering team, you work on 1 thing at a time and you never see the whole thing.

You design a spacesuit helmet, a different group tests it, you are told it passed or needs a design change. You absolutely end up making something that looks and feels like a spacesuit helmet, and obviously at some point your team is told it has passed tested and is ready to be used on the mission. You and your team get assigned to a different project.

However, it's one thing to build a spacesuit helmet that passes the sniff test - it feels and looks real and all engineering concerns have been satisfied so it feels real. It passed the test phase. The moon missions were a success.

But it's entirely different to build every single piece to actually function properly in space on a manned mission to the moon. And it's also still incredibly difficult to pull off a successful mission even if everything was real.

And if the reward for a successful moon landing is you get to become the superpower on the planet for decades, well, you can start to imagine how it becomes worth it to have a real program with a fake moon landing.

Kubrick took five years to produce the '2001: A Space Odyssey' motion picture, which was unheard of at that time.
During the production (in addition to all of the set, prop, and constume construction and designs) Kubrick and Clarke deliberately sought out the assistance of NASA contractors (dozens of corporate electronics and aerospace firms) experts and astronauts to fully comprehend the state-of-the-art of early-mid 1960s space flight technology as it existed at the moment. Kubrick wanted the completed film to have as realistic an appearance as was technologically possible (in addition to having highly skilled effects personnel such as Douglas Trumbull), and Clarke did a lot of additional research attending and speaking at academic conferences of astronomy and extraterrestrial colonies and SETI, about what living in space/on other planets for extended periods would be like and also non-human EXT lifeforms.
It was a highly ambitious film project and extremely thoroughly executed; at the least even if one "doesn't like" or appreciate the film itself or disagrees with its artistic/philosophical premises, it's a monument to Kubrick's own vision and diligence, thoroughness as a craftsman and director.

Yeah, because you have to be a flat earther to think that getting to GSO is a completely different kettle of fish than flying far enough out it the most inhospitable environment known to man to enter the moons gravitational arena AND dealing with landing on something with 1/6 the earth's mass (and thus 1/6 the earth's escape velocity requirements) while still dealing with earth's escape velocity requirements, AND also dealing with the Van Allen belts, AND dealing with solar radiation, AND dealing with extrasolar radiation, AND dealing with fuel constraints, AND maintaining a living atmosphere for human beings for upwards of a week with contingency reserves for twice that, AND dealing with doing it all again in reverse.
You're a well poisoning piece of shit, and I'm glad to know you're fully clot shotted to get your shekels.

The faked moon landings killed the soviet union, Russian and American scientists have said as much in the last 35 years, and again: we've never done it again, and it's been over 50 years.

It's hilarious and also pathetic.
RE: the upthread pic of Kubrick at U.K. studios with NASA personnel and Clarke (already posted in response to it), I just pulled off the shelf an old copyright 1970 small paperback book titled 'The Making of Kubrick's 2001' which is a compilation of information, photographs, interviews, and reactions to the 1968 release of the film and its lengthy five years of production
There's a piece in this book by Frederick I. Ordway, academic pioneer of modern rockets and spaceflight that was a senior advisor to NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and also served for eighteen months as a prime scentific and technical consultant for the '2001' production, in which he discusses the film and Kubrick's dedication to getting the film to appear as technically appropriate, up-to-date and correct as possible and also some mild recommendations how to make the philosophic pacing of, for example, the opening sequence a bit more digestible for more viewers.
Most zoomers today see films like '2001' or excerpts from it as a cliche no different from an MTV video clip. It's part of the internet generation's postmodern simulacrum disconnect from being marinated in oceans of media content without any rudder or compass to navigate or comprehend what it actually is. Or distinguishing it, how to differentiate it from flat earth / 'no moonlanding' streamertard podcasts
Ah well the internet

But everything went perfectly on the real trip and what heckin luck.
There are so many freakin’ examples of things that went perfectly on this mission. And they are all pretty heckin real because they can all be proven to work as long as you have a lot of freakin’ luck and these guys had to the darn luck in the world.
